The U.S. Space Force has actually launched prototypes of its service dress uniforms for its Guardians.
The response on social media exposed that when it pertains to uniforms, us area geeks are all fashionistas. But admittedly, the uniforms have a familiar appearance …
The uniforms, exposed during a conference in Maryland this week, include a dark navy coat, grey pants and 6 buttons, which represents the Space Force being the 6th branch of the U.S. armed force, according to the Space Forces Chief of Space Operations, Gen. John Raymond.
Theres a hint of Battlestar Galactica in the style, with the jackets high collar and its angled row of buttons. The Space Force uniforms also show the Forces logo design, which looks a lot like the Starfleet emblem from Star Trek.

Lt. Col. Alison Gonzalez, the Space Force deputy chief of strategy, was among the Guardians who designed the brand-new uniform. Gonzalez told Millitary.com she helped check the uniforms, guaranteeing they were designed with females in mind.
The fit of the trousers might need a bit of work.
Several people on Twitter had some concepts:
The logo they took from Star Trek, the uniforms from Battlestar Galactica, the enlisted insignias give me serious StarCraft rank vibes, all we need is lightsabers and melange to cover all our SciFi bases.
