On Jan. 6, 1968, NASA introduced the final and seventh Surveyor spacecraft on a mission to check out the moon. Like its six predecessors, Surveyor 7 was a robotic spacecraft sent to show the expediency of doing soft landings on the moon. A NASA Surveyor model.
