. Dragon will now fire its thrusters to move a safe range from the area station. Controllers will command a deorbit burn Monday, Jan. 24. After re-entering Earths atmosphere, the spacecraft will make a parachute-assisted splashdown about 4:05 p.m., off the coast of Florida near Panama City. NASA television will not relay the splashdown.
Dragon released December 21 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A at NASAs Kennedy Space Center in Florida, getting to the station less than 24 hours later on. The spacecraft provided more than 6,500 pounds of hardware, research examinations, and crew materials.
