Blue Mountains motel gets luxury revamp, reopens as Kyah Boutique Hotel

The 46-room, family-owned hotel opened on December 20 offering visitors a contemporary mountain retreat.

Following a six-month renovation of the initial motel, the new hotel offers 3 separate accommodation structures that flow into a main lobby and entertainment hub. Sydney-based style company, MKD Architects is the brains behind the look which includes on-trend archways, curves and cutaway interiors, matched by art deco motivated furnishings.

Kyah Boutique Hotel, a freshly revamped 1970s motel with a touch of luxe, has actually opened its doors to guests in the Blue Mountains town of Blackheath.

” If a shift in a weather pattern indicates a specific vegetable ends up being offered quicker than I had anticipated, I desire to be able to benefit from that,” he stated.

Visitors can select from King Suites, Twin Queen Rooms and Two-bedroom Suites and Spa Suites. For those travelling with more youthful teenagers and children, Kyah uses Family Rooms with one Queen bed and 2 single beds, and a “one-of-a-kind” Family Suite with 2 standalone bedrooms– one with a king bed and the other with bunk beds.

Visitors can delight in fireplaces, tennis court and veggie gardens, as well as Blaq restaurant and bar, supervised by Herceg, which prioritises local, seasonal and sustainable fruit and vegetables and producers.

” It was necessary to us that the Kyah style and architecture matched the rich character of Blackheath and the initial bones of the structure, yet still felt fresh and enticing,” Kyah Boutique Hotel General Manager and Executive Chef, Mate Herceg, said.

” The motel footprint remains but we have totally changed the property into a drinking, dining and hotel location that feels advanced without losing the heat or approachability you want from a routine haunt.”

” The bulk of our providers lie within a 80km radius to Kyah whichs important to me. We really do have an abundance of astonishing fruit and vegetables in the Mountains to pick from and I wish to showcase that as much as possible.”
