NASA astronaut Raja Chari and European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Matthias Maurer are conducting a spacewalk on Wednesday, March 23 to set up brand-new hoses on the International Space Stations Radiator Beam Valve Module, which assists manage the stations temperature level. Chari and Maurer will also install a power and information cable on the stations Bartolomeo science platform, change an external camera, and perform other upgrades to station hardware.
Wednesdays spacewalk is expected to start around 8:50 a.m. EDT (12:50 UTC) and take about six-and-a-half hours. This spacewalk will be the second of Charis career and the very first for Maurer.

Chari will function as extravehicular crewmember 1 (EV 1) and will use a suit with red stripes. Maurer will act as extravehicular crewmember 2 (EV 2) and will use an unmarked fit. The spacewalk will be the second of Charis profession and the very first for Maurer. Astronauts Tom Marshburn and Kayla Barron will assist the spacewalkers in and out of their spacesuits and monitor their external activities. Furthermore, Barron and Marshburn will be on robotics task commanding the Canadarm2 robotics equip to help during the excursion.
