The cerebellum was traditionally seen as a center devoted solely to motor coordination, a growing body of research study suggests that the structure is also included in cognition, feeling, and other functions. The cerebellum appears small from the outside, the structures many coral-like branches offer it a surface location that is 80 percent of the surface location of the bigger cerebral cortex.
