Axiom’s Next Trip to the ISS Will Carry the First Saudi Woman in Space

Houston-based Axiom Space and the Saudi Space Commission revealed their partnership today at the International Astronautical Congress in Paris. In a press release, the Saudi commission said its involvement in Axioms Ax-2 objective is part of the nations effort “to conduct clinical experiments and research for the betterment of mankind in priority locations such as health, sustainability and space technology.” It acknowledged that including a female astronaut “will represent a historical very first for the Kingdom.”

Axiom and NASA announced last month that theyve signed the objective order for Ax-2– and NASA and its area station partners are expected to end up approving Axioms crew selections.
