It turns out this isnt the very first time our Sun has actually made faces at us, as NASAs Solar Dynamics Observatory, or SDO, imaged the Sun portraying a jack-o-lanterns face back in October 2014, that made for a creepy pre-Halloween treat for astronomy enthusiasts.

In terms of size, our Sun is roughly 100 times larger than the Earth, indicating dozens of Earths could comfortably fit inside the Suns recent “smile”, which is a modest suggestion that while our Sun is accountable for both life and displaying familiar surface functions from time to time, it can also be accountable for enormous death and damage, as well.
Maybe our Sun smiling at us is a sign that it wants us to stick around for a while, however if we record it providing us a frown, then perhaps its time to panic.
