With a little bit of innovative engineering, a basic circuit can do double-duty as a fun decoration and a valuable water-level screen!

You can place your finished accessory anywhere you desire on the tree, offered the probes can reach the water in the tree stand.

( Note: to construct an “accessory” display comparable to the one shown, using a soldering iron is recommended for a more resilient circuit that can hold on a tree.).

When confronted with a problem, engineers come up with innovative and innovative services! Keeping a cut holiday tree watered is essential for maintaining the life of a fresh tree, specifically during dry winter days. With a little bit of crafty science and engineering, among our staff researchers included a circuit with a sensing unit to a basic vacation ornament to assist him monitor when his tree requires water.

Trainees can experiment with sensor-based science and circuit structure utilizing the Sensors Kit. To construct a display similar to the one used in our engineers reindeer ornament, students can check out the circuit shown in the Green Technology: Build an Electronic Soil Moisture Sensor to Conserve Water electronics project.
