Space Freight and Genetic Feats: ISS Crew’s Cosmic Countdown to Cargo Day

The Roscosmos 86 space freighter is in Earth orbit and racing toward the space station after launching at 4:25 a.m. EDT today from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The International Space Station orbited 260 miles above as this picture was taken. The technique may notify DNA sample processing and sequencing techniques on spacecraft and remote places on Earth.
Mogensen from ESA (European Space Agency) then spent the afternoon gathering microorganism samples from station surface areas for incubation and analysis. OHara also worked in the afternoon gathering station air samples for microbial analysis.

Bioprinting and DNA extraction were the main research study activities on Friday as astronauts Jasmin Moghbeli and Satoshi Furukawa contributed to clinical knowledge advancing health for people living on and off the Earth. Moghbeli from NASA kicked off her day in the Columbus laboratory module swapping cleaning syringes inside the BioFabrication Facility (BFF), a biological printer. Next, she removed a tissue cassette including printed heart tissue samples from the BFF. The cassette was then installed into a sophisticated sample processor that can be set up for a range of biological and physics examinations.

Furukawa from JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) spent Friday operating in the Kibo lab module extracting DNA samples for the new uTitan examination. He stowed those samples in a science freezer for later analysis to help researchers check out a method for automated nucleic acid extraction in microgravity. The approach might inform DNA sample processing and sequencing strategies on spacecraft and remote locations on Earth.
NASA astronaut Loral OHara worked out in the Destiny laboratory module for an exercise research study observing physical conditioning in microgravity. She pedaled on a workout cycle using breathing equipment and sensing units for the long-running study measuring a team members cardiovascular and aerobic conditioning.
Leader Andreas Mogensen stowed the workout cycle after OHaras workout session and assisted Moghbeli as she serviced the printed cardiac tissue samples. Mogensen from ESA (European Space Agency) then spent the afternoon gathering microbe samples from station surface areas for incubation and analysis. OHara also operated in the afternoon gathering station air samples for microbial analysis.

A cargo craft remains in orbit today on its method to the International Space Station (ISS) following its Friday morning launch. Meanwhile, sophisticated area biology is underway aboard the orbital station to improve life in the world and in area.
The Roscosmos 86 area freighter is in Earth orbit and racing toward the area station after launching at 4:25 a.m. EDT today from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub will be on duty Sunday early morning monitoring the cargo crafts automated docking to the Poisk module planned for 6:14 a.m
. The International Space Station orbited 260 miles above as this picture was taken.
Both cosmonauts, consisting of Flight Engineer Konstantin Borisov, had a light-duty day at the end of the week. The trio invested Friday morning cleansing ventilation systems throughout the stations Roscosmos section and after that relaxed during the afternoon. Borisov will assist his cosmonaut coworkers on Sunday in photographing the docking activities and deconfiguring docking gear after the lorrys arrival.
