Genome Spotlight: Giant Isopod (Bathynomus jamesi)

To sequence the genome of the huge isopod Bathynomus jamesi, the team de novo put together Pacific Bio long reads rather than utilizing either of the existing 2 terrestrial isopod genomes as a scaffold.
