Minor Hotels signs deal to expand Oaks brand into Egypt

The hotel will include 400 rooms in two wings, linked at the roof, which will also include a pool.

Oaks Hotels, Resorts and Suites Chief Operating Officer, Craig Hooley, said the growth of the Oaks portfolio into Egypt is a strong advance for the group.

Oaks Egypt New Capital Apartments and Suites will feature 400 visitor spaces, suites and apartments across two wings which will be linked both at the rooftop and along a large ground floor retail complex. Guests will find 197 suites, studio and multi-bedroom apartment or condos in one wing, with 203 visitor spaces assigned to the other.

Construction will begin next year on Oaks Egypt New Capital Apartments and Suites, which will lie within what is currently called the Egyptian New Administrative Capital– a futuristic city increasing from the sands 45 kilometres east of the existing capital. The new metropolitan centre is the centrepiece in Egypts 2015 Master Plan and when complete in 2025, will house the whole Egyptian Government, ministries, foreign embassies and lots of global home offices.

” Located in the heart of the quickly developing Egyptian New Administrative Capital, it will be ideal for the business visitor requiring to be nearby to the main federal government departments and ministries, foreign embassies and regional headquarters of numerous international companies,” Hooley stated.

The Oaks Hotels, Resorts and Suites brand name will make its launching in Egypt after Minor Hotels signed a management contract to bring the label to a mixed-use advancement in a stretching new metropolitan area under development east of Cairo.

” We are confident that we will deliver Oaks home far from home promise to all those remaining in our very first Egyptian residential or commercial property.”

Facilities will consist of a lobby lounge, fitness centre, day meeting, spa and co-working spaces, a number of dining establishments and a rooftop pool deck. The hotel is owned by personal realty company, Margins Development which is highly active in Cairo.
