Cygnus Soars: Installation Complete and Cargo Ops Initiated on Space Station

Northrop Grummans Cygnus spacecraft, now set up at the ISS, brings considerable cargo and paves the way for ingenious clinical research study. This marks the businesss 19th resupply objective for NASA.

At 5:52 a.m., NASA astronaut Woody Hoburg, in addition to NASA astronaut Frank Rubio as backup, caught Cygnus utilizing the stations Canadarm2 robotic arm.

This is Northrop Grummans 19th commercial resupply objective to the spaceport station for NASA. Northrop Grumman called the Cygnus spacecraft the S.S. Laurel Clark in honor of the late NASA astronaut, undersea medical officer, and naval flight officer, Laurel Clark.

Cygnus will stay at the spaceport station till October before it departs for a harmful re-entry into Earths atmosphere.
