In collaboration with advancement group Keylin, Mövenpick will star in a newbuild dual-tower construction task in the Brisbane residential area of Spring Hill, simply outside the CBD, in an area continuing its evolution as an emerging cultural enclave on the border of the citys Victoria Parklands.
The statement caps off a massive year for the Mövenpick brand name, which in one year has made its mark on Australia with two brand-new openings, initially debuting in Hobart before expanding to Melbourne from June.
Swiss heritage hotel brand, Mövenpick, is continuing its march north along Australias east coast, with Accor today confirming the marque will dominate Brisbane as the next destination to be included to its growing portfolio.
Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer opened to guests in June this year.
Including 96 rooms over 15 floors, Mövenpick Hotel Brisbane Spring Hill will surprise visitors with a two-storey lobby with eight-metre ceilings, marble columns and terrazzo flooring. The outside will provide a raised garden façade, with each space offering views of the city. The developments nearby 2nd tower will feature personal homes exclusively.
The hotel will provide on its popular brand trademarks, including its daily Chocolate Hour, where guests can sample and buy a variety of delicacies bearing the Mövenpick name. Visitor facilities at the hotel will consist of a 25-metre swimming pool, a restaurant and bar, physical fitness centre and conference facilities with capacity for approximately 100 visitors.

The hotels style will be handled by MAS Architecture Studio, with interiors from Hirsch Bedner Associates. Mövenpick Hotel Brisbane Spring Hill is presently on track to open in 2024, with construction due to start this year.
