Columbia Launches a Carbontech Initiative to Bring Climate Solutions to Market

(Photo: John Abbott)Columbia University will introduce a grantmaking and accelerator program to develop, advertise, and scale tools and technologies concentrated on decreasing emissions by turning carbon into beneficial products.Announced recently at the COP26 environment talks in Glasgow, Columbia University was awarded $10 million in seed financing under New York States Carbontech Development Initiative. This program will allow scientists and entrepreneurs working on carbon capture, utilization, and storage-related innovations to broaden on their work and develop New York as a center for carbontech development.
