Celebrated chef Francesco Mazzei is once again coordinating with his long-time good friend Luca Dusi, of Passione Vino, for the second in their series of cooking events to commemorate their home nation of Italy.

Returning for a joyful edition, Festive Food & & Wine Tales will kick off on Wednesday 8th December at 7pm at Francescos trattoria Radici in Islington. Tickets are ₤ 75 per individual and include a menu of canapés followed by three courses and accompanying wines. The interactive event will have visitors vote after each course and white wine pairing. The winning meal and white wine, which will be revealed at the end of the supper, will then be included on Radicis specials board for the month.

Calabrian born Francesco Mazzei was raised with an enthusiasm for food, typically in the family kitchen baking bread and making pasta with his nonna and mamma. Born in Verona, Luca Dusi learnt to consume and understand regional red wines from a very young age, acquiring a deep-rooted understanding from his father who had a smallholding producing red wine. A Londoner considering that 1995, Luca began his red wine importing company, Passione Vino, in 2003. He specialises in importing red wines from his native country to the UK, concentrating on wine from little artisan producers. Now he supplies a lot of Londons top dining establishments and has worked together with top chefs such as Angela Harnett, Mark Hix, Giorgio Locatelli and Francesco Mazzei.
