Exploration 68 Flight Engineers Josh Cassada and Frank Rubio of NASA started a spacewalk at 9:14 a.m. EST (6:14 a.m. PST) to put together an installing bracket on the starboard side of the stations truss assembly in preparation for the installation of a pair of International Space Station Rollout Solar Arrays on the space station. The spacewalk formally began as the duo changed to the battery power in their fits prior to leaving the airlock.
The spacewalk will last around seven hours. Protection of the spacewalk continues on NASA Television, the NASA app, and the agencys site.
