NASA Sets Live Coverage for Cosmonaut Spacewalk Outside Space Station

Exploration 70 cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub will venture beyond the stations Poisk module to set up an artificial radar interactions system and release a nanosatellite to evaluate solar sail technology. While outside the station, they also will inspect and photograph an external backup radiator on the Nauka multipurpose lab module that experienced a coolant leakage on October 9.
The spacewalk will be the 268th in assistance of space station assembly, maintenance, and upgrades. It will be the sixth for Kononenko, who will wear the Orlan spacesuit with red stripes. It will be the first spacewalk for Chub, who will use the spacesuit with blue stripes.

On October 25, NASA will live stream a spacewalk by Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub. They will set up communications hardware, launch a solar sail tech-testing nanosatellite, and check a formerly dripping radiator on the ISS.
NASA will offer live protection as two Roscosmos cosmonauts perform a spacewalk outside the International Space Station on Wednesday, October 25, to install interactions hardware and check a portion of the orbital complex.
Protection begins at 1:30 p.m. EDT on NASA Television, the NASA app, and the firms website. The spacewalk is expected to begin at 1:55 p.m. and could last up to 7 hours.
