Strategies to redevelop the former Inwards Parcel Sheds at 8-10 Lee Street in Haymarket were this week authorized by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. The choice kick-starts the NSW Governments aspirations to transform the Railway Square pocket of the CBD into Tech Central, a center of development and house to a range of companies forming future generations of technology and societal interaction.
” The revamp of Central Station and delivery of Tech Central will create an industrial core in the Citys south that would include a public domain with new open area, shops and coffee shops all on top of the rail corridor,” Minister Ayres said.

Hostel operator YHA Australia has launched initial makings inside its substantially broadened brand-new Train Square location once it is redeveloped as part of the global headquarters of home-grown IT giant, Atlassian.
NSW Minister for Jobs and Investment, Stuart Ayres, said planning controls were now in place to see the redeveloped location become Sydneys answer to Silicon Valley.
The brand-new hostel will include a range of co-living and common areas.

Building and construction of the brand-new tower will start in 2022, with a four-year completion plan.
